Mimic beacon can no longer take cover and enemies are guaranteed to hit it?

Oh boy, there goes lots of peoples strategy.
Yep... that was a total get-of-jail free card though, I'm not surprised they nerfed it.

Also, "Killzone now respects concealment status"... I'm guessing you can't just lay down a killzone with a concealed squad and very safely have a killzone + a full squad of overwatches + another entire turn before the enemies get a chance to shoot? Again, probably fair, but for sure makes things harder.

I'll give the game another spin tonight. My last failed play-through was on commander / iron man mode, since avanger got shot down my vets got killed of and rookie noobs weren't enough to recover, lost campaign after 18 hours. >.<

What that means is that Kill Zone will no longer activate while the sniper is concealed. Usually the sniper would hang back and start sniping on the enemies turn, after the first shot, concealment would be broken. The pod activates then killzone continues with any other member that is over watched. This was a deadly combo when using Superior Expanded Magazine, Superior Repeater, Superior scope and AP rounds.

Ive managed to kill 3 separate pods that was activated at once with one Guardian Specialist and a sniper using that kill zone combo, both with those weapon modifications. So much executions :)

What they should have fixed is the proximity mine issue where if a unit is concealed and plants a proximity mine on a patrolling squad, only the enemy squad leader gets damaged when the mine goes off.

Same concept if I have a phantom ranger plant a proximity mine and leaves the area out of sight, when the mine goes off, the concealment is broken on the ranger no matter where on the map they are......SMH.
