Heloo, few months ago, I bought Zonko X77 tablet.
I dont require anything speciall, ONLY youtube. And I was sure that this tablet is capable of it. Mistake...
This tablet boot sequence last up to 2 minutes. Youtube start freezing afer video buffering... Worst buy of my entire life.
However is it possible to install Linux on it. I dont require anything special like Ubuntu or Mint. I woud be happy with antiX. This lightweight distro requires only of 128 MB RAM ( have a few VMs running on it ( VPN and DNS server ). So is it possible to port linux on thistablet? Thanx in advance.

Solution
For rooting, check XDA Developers. Search similar tablets (CPU, GPU), there's nothing about Zonko.

Putting a generic Linux distro on Android-only tablet is not an easy task, or even possible. You have several layers of loaders to go thru, to be even able to boot installer. As for your favorite distro - is it available for non-x86 CPUs in the first place?

I'd leave this $50 POS aside for its intended purpose (kids playing YT videos), and get something more appropriate for the task.
Odd that your X77 is having issues with Youtube as it indeed has plenty of power "hardware" wise (Android 7.1, 1GB RAM, low power quad-core @ 1.3ghz & a Mali-400) for basic viewing, especially since this tablet is geared towards kids and Youtube has a plethora of kids programming.

You have of course tried factory resetting it, as well as disabling/uninstalling unwanted apps? Also make sure all background apps are killed. This will free up resources.

As for installing Linux, You may have to root it 1st depending on what you want to do, though you run the risk of bricking it. There are other ways around it tho, here are a few links. Take a look here, here & here.

How to root this tablet, I rooted few years ago my Samsung phones ( S2 S3 S6) but I forgot how to do this on that ... device ? I wanted to try to put Antix Linux in it or Puppy linux and see performance. Thx in advance

PS: I try to put them in recovery mode with volume up/down and power button and when use it it load blank screen saying that there is no other options. THX again
