Hi All
Am I the only one with this problem? Following a recent update, Zoom now not only closes my meetings after 40 minutes, but also imposes a forced 10 minutes waiting time before I can restart it. It's the final nail in the coffin for me and my wife, since we both need one-to-one teaching software and can't afford 2 Zoom licences every year, on top of everything else. We'll just have to ditch Zoom and go with Teams, blurry camera and all. Oddly enough, I can't find any reference to this new "feature" anywhere - v. strange...

EDIT: Interestingly, I sent off a polite complaint to Zoom yesterday, giving our circumstances and pointing out that we can't afford Zoom without there being a "family" or small-number licence, and I got this back:

"Thank you for submitting your recent enquiry.

I will be happy to help guide you through purchasing or connecting you with the most suitable resource at Zoom.

Could you please tell me about your organisation, what you'd like to accomplish with our platform & how many of your staff will need to use Zoom?

Warm regards,"

Which kind of misses the point, I think (although I will pursue it - who knows..?)

What blurry camera issue are you referring to with Teams? I use Teams on a daily basis (for work) and have no such problems.
Hi COLGeek, and thanks for the response. When I view my image in Teams before starting or joining a meeting, it is HD-quality, but once I start/join the meeting, it is a much lower resolution and/or blurred/out of focus. I've tried every setting I can think of, but can't cure it. There are a lot of complaints circulating about this, but no definitive solution seems to have come out. Some may say it's a minor point, but I consider it a part of my product "package", which emphasises quality, so it is pretty annoying from that perspective. As a matter of interest, I'm testing the free version of RingCentral today, which may provide the solution we need (any other suggestions/fixes welcome!).

Hi did you manage to find a solution?
I am in the same boat -am using zoom for 1-1 teaching but only 2 hours per week and this definitely does not work out for me. I was also imposed with the 10 mins wait after the 40 mins limit meeting. It just popped up suddenly with no prior warning from zoom..really terrible when you are in the middle of the lesson. If they would like to impose a charge, I think they should customise a cheaper tiered plan for small users like us.
If you found a way to work around this , please share! Thank you!

This thread is six-months old (look at the dates on each post).

Since it is obviously "dead" there is no point in you posting on it.
