Strange audio problem with zoom... (I've already checked all online articles and videos I can find for help, nothing obvious is wrong)
I have a bluetooth speaker (Allway PBT0002) that works fine with my Mac to play audio from e.g. YouTube videos and other web sources. BUT, this same bluetooth speaker won't work with zoom, to output audio. This is a problem because my computer's internal speakers have gone bad, even though they still somewhat work with zoom (but very poor audio quality). I've carefully checked that the Allway speaker is selected in both my computer's system preferences as well as the preferences in zoom. But it just won't work with zoom.
I have a Mac with OS X Yosemite, 10.10.5. I'm not aware of having any BT speaker drivers or BT drivers.
What could be going on? I've looked up zoom-compatible speakers, and have read that basically any bluetooth / USB speaker should work (without any specific reference to the Allway speaker I have). But could that be the problem? Other ideas? I don't want to purchase a new speaker or headphones if that's unnecessary, and may not even solve the problem.
Any insights or advice appreciated!
