It keeps happening super randomly. If I'm on my PC I might see it only happen when I first initally get on the computer and I have to then reset my modem a few times. But lately if I'm wifi only I have to keep resetting it several times throughout the day before it picks up the internet again and even then the DS light keeps blinking and won't remain a solid blue.
I think it started happening when my cats unplugged it. But it also happened when I had someone at the apartment install a CO2 monitor on the wall. I can't tell if it's wiring issues inside the house or the modem..
When it does fix itself it says it can't establish a default gateway or DHCP address. Then it randomly does. I've done ipconfig flushes, resets and renews, reset my router and modem and went through each step of setting it back up, tried using only one computer, etc. I have to reset the modem constantly or the Wifi drops. I switched coaxial cables, made sure the box was clean and not overheating, everything besides contacting my cable provider.
I don't know if my modem is failing (it's a Zoom 5341J connected to a Linksys 6300), there's wiring issues in my house, or there's a problem with the network provider. It seems to drop every time someone new connects to it as well through the LAN.
