Hi!

I have a Zotac 780Ti OC Edition, and i took a look at all the 780Ti models. I don't know if it's just me or is this Zotac 780Ti OC Edition weaker than most of the other models?

I wanted to upgrade to 2-way SLI and i was thinking about if it was better to get another model? For an example an EVGA or something? And if i stick with the 2-way SLI build, is this GPU enough to handle the build?

The 850 watt is probably enough, but depending on your CPU and whether you're overclocking it or not, I would opt for a slightly larger supply to be on the safe side. I have an 850 watt supply with a haswell CPU and two 165 W TDP cards and the system draws way more power than face value (like 800 Watts) because everything is overclocked. And let's face it, if you aren't overclocking, you're basically throwing away performance.

I seriously doubt the Zotac is a a weak card. It has an aftermarket heatsink fan and almost all of those will give you really nice gains over the reference design. I just read a couple reviews and it looks solid.

One thing to consider is that the GTX 980 could give you similar performance to the GTX 780 Ti, but...

One thing to consider is that the GTX 980 could give you similar performance to the GTX 780 Ti, but wouldn't require nearly as large a power supply - try more like a 750-800 Watt unit. Also, as the GTX 980 is the new kid on the block, some people are predicting that driver refinements will help it eclipse the GTX 780 Ti in the long haul.

They have the same HSF, so the AMP edition is probably just from a better bin than the regular OC...still probably similar in performance. 50 Mhz. isn't much in the grand scheme of things.
