Question Zotac Freeze tech not available in 16 series?

So I bought a Zotac GTX 1660 super AMP yesterday, but I noticed something weird about it..

even when idling at 32 deg celsius the fans won't stop spinning..

they run at 32% ~1000 RPM @ idle

is this normal?

I could bet that my previous GPU - Zotac GTX 1060 6gb AMP would have its fans completely stopped while idling...

is my GPU defective?

Make and model of your PSU and it's age? You may want to see if using DDU to remove the drivers and then reinstalling the latest drivers from Nvidia's support site(manually installing it in an elevated command, i.e Right click installer>Run as Administrator) helps.

Corsair CX600 - 4 years old (june 2016)

I actually did not install any drivers.. I had the drivers installed for my 10 series..

the reason I did not reinstall the drivers is that they were already the same version..

are drivers of the same version but different series - different?
