Hello Tom's Hardware! This is my first post so forgive me if I made a mistake.

I recently used a computer with Intel HD 4000 graphics for my games (World of Tanks, Kerbal Space Program, Spintires, Minecraft). Unfortunately its Motherboard died and it no longer works. The computer I have now is a hand me down HP from my mom which has an ATI Radeon HD 4200. I don't know if my games will work on this thing, but based on reviews I have read it is pretty terrible. So I was looking at the Zotac GT630 Synergy Edition to upgrade to. My question is: Is the upgrade to the GT630 going to be an improvement over the current Graphics, or is there a better card within my budget ($60-$100) ?

Here are the system's specifications:

AMD Athlon II x4 635 2.9GHz
4GB DDR3 (Will be upgraded to 6, and potentially 8)
750gb 7200rpm HDD
250mw PSU (Will be upgraded to 400mw, 300 at the least)
1 PCI Express x16 port
3 PCI Express x1 ports
Microsoft Windows 7 64-Bit

Thank you very much for your help

Like night and day difference. But the problem with HP motherboards, is that they sometimes lock their BIOS so only cards they authorize safe to use will be recognized. The GT 630 is a low enough class of card that it may not be an issue for you. They do that to prevent users from using too demanding a card in their systems and frying something (and to make a buck selling cards themselves at a profit).
