I have the GTX 1070 AMP Extreme by Zotac running with my i5-4670K@4.0Ghz and want to play the most actual games in 4k. Concerning to MSI Afterburner my GPU is always under full load and my CPU does only reach about 60% usage.
That's why i decided to overclock my GPU with FireStorm:

However i have 2 problems:

1. FireStorm does not save the config after restart. Even if i clock on apply and save. The option to load old settings is enabled in FireStorm Setting!

2. Increasing the GPU Clock or Memory Clock result in big problems with the Graphics Driver (375.70). But the Cards stays really cool (~60C).. so technical it would be no problem.
The Memory Clock is quite low btw. I read here that increasing the Memory Clock will increase the performance heavily.

Update:
I set the Power Target to 120%. This makes it possible to set the Memory Clock at +250 and higher without issues. Nevertheless i get no fps-difference in games like ARK. Increasing the GPU Clock still result in issues with the Graphics Driver (some blue pixels spawn around the screen).

Solution
1) Might be because you have Firestorm and Afterburner. Remove one or the other.
2) That indicates your overclock is unstable if the driver crashes. Increase in small amounts then test. Raise the Power target to max before starting overclocking.

Solution

I removed Afterburner before installing FireStorm.

Thanks for the hint. I will try it and update my post soon.
