i am planning to buy the gtx 1080 mini as i have mid tower case but i am concerned that i might face heating issues or performance drops if im rendering continuously for 3 to 4 days straight without reboot. i have done so with my zotac standard 750ti and it works fine but a little doubtful about the 1080 mini as it a high end gpu and is missing one fan as compared to the standard zotac gtx 1080. note: I wont be overclocking it

You will face major issues with a mini, wont be anywhere near its potential performance

thought so.. and can you please elaborate on these issues.. also the other option that is slightly out of my budget is a gigabyte WF3 GTX 1080 OC as i will also have to upgrade by case but will that be suitable?

When they make a card mini they have to basically downgrade its speed so that the cooling solution (a single fan) is suitable, this basically wastes the potential of the card, how much is the mini and what is your budget

Solution

a mini costs me 42000 INR and the wf3 oc costs me 48000 INR + 4000 INR for a new full tower case which comes to 52000 INR so its like a 10000 INR Price difference

How small is your case ?
