[SOLVED] Zotac GTX 1660 Super - reaching 78 degrees on games

Idle temperature around 34/35 degrees. Playing Witcher 3, or New Word (which has been known to push GPU's) temperature reaches 77/78 degrees. Is that ok?

That's fine no problems.

I play new world on a 3060ti and never go above 66c. I do have good case airflow and a slight undervolt on my card. 78c seems high to me for a 1660S

I will change my case fans from standard to performance speed, see if that makes a difference

There are various factors at play here - to say it's just high... I don't believe that's accurate.
It's not seeing over 80C under load, it's fine.

Typical thermal throttle limit for Nvidia cards is 83C. When it is doing as much work as possible it should hover around there.

A GPU sitting at 66C under a load is either not fully loaded or has very superior cooling. (Or a very weak GPU to start with, like a GT1030)

-The cooler this 1660 Super is equipped with.
-The temperature of the air feeding into the cooler.
-Chassis model and airflow.
-What the fans are, and how fast/slow the OP runs their fans.
Things like that all 'add' up.
