In your opinion, which would be the wiser choice? The Zotac card is only $270 right now, which is very well priced for a 760 with 4gb vram. However, I'm a bit hesitant to buy from a brand I know very little about. That said, I've heard that two 760's in SLI perform on a par with a TITAN. If this is true, then I imagine getting the Zotac now would last me at least a couple years, then I could get another when games start outgrowing it. Seems like a running two 760's with only 2gb vram would be almost pointless, as that wouldn't be enough ram for games by that time. However, if that's not a good idea for the future, then I'd prefer to get the MSI Hawk, as it has a back-plate, better clock speeds, and is a manufacturer that I know and trust. Any thoughts?

VRAM comes into play with higher resolutions. If you're playing on a 1080p monitor or less, 2gb of vram will last you for a while. If you ever plan on going 2560x res then 4gb will be needed. Yes 2 760s will compete with the titan. If you don't mind spending the money there's nothing wrong with the 4gb version, but it might no be needed for your set up.

2gb has yet to be broken, although bf4 and crysis 2/3 come close topping out at near 1900mb, by any standard games at 1080p. skyrim with a rediculous amount of mods can apparently break into the 3gb mark, but thats about all. not to say that future games wont use more ram though...... if the zotac card is a similar price to the msi, then it may be worth going for the 4gb if you ever plan to sli and get a higher res display. For the forseable future i dont expect any games to actually require more than 2gb to run, you can still turn down settings to save on vram if it becomes an issue.

To make you feel better zotac has been around for a while and makes products for both amd and nvidia. Do they make the best stuff out there? No, but also aren't the worst. They have a decent amount of experience under their belt and provide warranties as good as their competitors.

Thanks, guys. Yeah, I do plan to increase resolution in the next couple of years. I'm currently running at 1080, but would like to get something more like a 27", and eventually do a 3-monitor setup. While the MSI Hawk is a very attractive card and seems to have the highest quality components, I think I may go with the Zotac, as it sounds like I really may need the extra ram before too long. I dunno. I'll probably change my mind 5 or 6 more times before I pull the trigger on anything. lol
