Zotac GTX 960 2gb & AMD FX-6300

So I'm upgrading my pc for this Christmas and was watching some videos online of the GTX 960 2gb and FX-6300 with ultra settings and high settings with gta 5 and fallout and stuff and I was wondering if this would be a good processor for playing games like Gta 4, Payday 2, Minecraft with recording and shaders and stuff like that and Garrys Mod and games of that nature.

Nice build, the 6300 will do alright, most games are starting to take advantage of the multithreaded gain. The 960 is a great mid range card and later on you can add in a second one and it'll run perfectly either way with 1080p gaming. maxed out too.

Yes, good combination for gaming at 1080p @ high settings in most games.

Would it be worth it to upgrade to a 8320?

Well, if you've got the money I'd definitely recommend the 8320 but what you've got now is fine for maxed out 1080p.

Either will max out anything you throw at it at a solid 30-60 fps. the 8320 will destroy the 6300 in video rendering and multi threaded workloads.

Thank you so much I think I might upgrade to the 8320 if my parents allow it because its pretty expensive so I hope for the best if not the 8320 then the 6300 will do just fine for me
