My Zotact Gtx 960 2gb isn't getting detected by BIOS. Firstly I plugged it on a Lenovo Thinkcenter m81 motherboard with core i5 2300 but it didn't worked then I changed the board to Asus p8h61-I but used the same cpu & still isn't getting recognized by bios. It always boots to onboard graphics even while the gpu is plugged. I have even tried different psu but it didn't help. The Fans on GPU runs for a few seconds when I turn on the pc then gets turn off.

The GPU is working 100% as I have checked it on 2 other pc one with i5-4690 & other i7-11700k

Please any one help me.

My Specs:
Core i5-2300
2x4gb DDR3
Asus P8H61-I LX R2.0/RM/SI
120 GB Kingston SSD
WD 500 GB HDD
Zotac GTX 960 2gb
PSU antec vp450p 450 watts

What do you mean by not detected? Could you boot using the igpu and go to device manager, and see if it working?
Otherwise, try to update your motherboard bios and set the boot to UEFI only if you could (disable csm on boot options)

Can't find it in device manager, neither in bios also tried to install drivers but ended up with error " cannot find device". I will update bios then update here.

So, I changed just cpu to i3 3220 on the same board & it worked. It was cpu all the time.

Is it mean the i5 2300 isn't compatible with gtx 960? Doesn't make sense.
