Zotac GTX 970 AMP Extreme edition

I am going to build a computer soon and I want to get the 970 AMP Extreme edition but I don't know if it will fit in the corsair air 540. I'm not worried about length but about the height of the GPU since it has a custom PCB. I would like to know if it will fit well in the case.

Yes it will fit just fine. The length is the only factor that matters.

Your case supports GPU upto length 320mm and the graphics card has the length 11.8" means 29.972 cm. It will perfectly fit in your case. Breadth and hight always fit in any case. Graphics card fitting depends only on the length. Best Luck.
