the 970 is about 20% better compared to the r9 290, althought i would not recomend buying a zotac card as they are usually noisy and it doesnt have a good costumer support msi, evga or asus are better, however it all depends on your budget
-actually is 24% better and only 15% more expensive, you can't get lost now
