Zotac GTX 970 temperatures

Just received my Zotac GTX 970 today and have been testing it for the past hour with Unigene. I have it running in an extremely small case (Rosewill U2-S) so I'm not surprised temperatures are a little higher than I'd like, but wondering if 80 degrees is safe/normal (fans going up to 60-70%)

98C is the max temp , normally GTX 970 operates at 70-72C under full load . i accept 75C as max safe temp under full load . You should improve the airflow.

Yeah I figured as much, might have to look into a different case at some point I guess

80 degrees in that environment under a good load is normal , like you said in a small case the temps are slightly elevated.

That's good. On the bright side I managed to OC it to 1450mhz leaving the power limit at 100% and stock voltage, still doesn't go past 80.
