Zotac vs nVidia

I know Zotac and nVidia are 2 different companies. Just wondering if the graphics card manufactured in the name of Zotac/nVidia is of the same standards as nVidia? or is it something different?

nvidia is the designer of those cards and they supply card's to companies like zotac gigabyte etc. those companies strap on tier custom cooler or just keep the reference cooler then sell it to us.

Or Nvidia supplies the (G)raphics (P)rocessing (U)nit which then their partner companies puts on a PCB with all accessories and they sell as Graphics cards.
What I have heard about Zotac is that their cards are no worse than others and couple of times seen people in here praising their support. I have no personal experience with them.
