Once upon a time I was really into computers. I started building my own PCs in the mid-90s after selling my Atari STe and I have built or rebuilt nearly a hundred machines. But I have been away from computers for a decade now. It is amazing how much has changed. I feel…. Lost.

Why is my computer connecting to Network 2 and not 1? I have rebooted the hard drive, nothing changed. All other devices are connected to regular WIFI.

What you are seeing is likely just a Windows naming convention and has nothing to do with the actual network you are attached to.

See if you have added a check mark "connect automatically" under Network 2. Uncheck it and check mark it for Network 1.
