Build Advice Recommendations for a new PC build ?

No reason to spend all that much money at this point in time unless you really need a PC now. The next 5-6 months there will be new GPUs and the new gen of CPUs. If it was a cheaper build I'd say go with it, but going for highest tier possible, ain't worth it right now. Also I'd get a bigger...

Question Ryzen 7950x idle or light load power usage

It's not hitting 100w watching YouTube and stuff but it usually spikes to 65w with average of 45w. A 14900k shouldn't be drawing 30w, if use balanced power profile it should be sitting at below 10w. At complete idle it's sitting at single digits, like 2-3 watts

If that's what your data shows then your data is just flawed. Even the 12900k at 125w is faster than the 7950x at 65w. I have them all, I've actually tested them.

So you double down that the 7950x at 65w is faster than the 13900k at 125w. OK buddy

Only problem is, you are wrong. I've tested cbr23, at 65w power draw (PPT) the 7950x scores 22k, the 13900k at 125w scores 32k. If you think a 7950x at 65w is faster than a 13900k at 125w then you have no idea what you are talking about.

Wrong. First of all 105w tdp on amd parts means 140w actual power draw. Intel doesnt have 8 core chips at 170w tdp. Also it has nothing to do toh single core performance. Cpus don't draw 100s of watts at st workloads. They are sitting at 30-40 watts. Please, can be stop the anti intel...

You serious or what? Intel already has cpus out on the market (for 2 years nonetheless) that are faster than both the 6core and the 8core zen 5 part in MT performance. That's craaazy, amd really needs to up the core count. They been left in the dust in the mid range segment.

Question Temperature of i7-14700 during gaming ?

That's not how it works at all. Base clocks have nothing to do with TDP. Well - they do, but just because it's drawing 65w doesn't mean it's running at base clocks. I'm pretty sure even at 65w in most MT workloads it will be over 3ghz. Also boosting to 5.3 ghz doesn't mean it draws 219 watts either.

    Question i7-14700K is overheating ?

Get into the bios, press F7 for advanced mode, go to OC settings ---> Advanced CPU configuration and there should be an option called Temperature limit or something, choose your value and then save and exit

    Question i7-14700K is overheating ?

I wouldn't recommend XTU, the program is fine but it conflicts with any changes in the bios. If your problem is just the temperatures in heavy workloads then simply set a temperature limit in the bios, something like 85-90or whatever you feel comfortable with.

Question Stability issues with Intel 13/14th gen CPU ?

Where did I offer to fix anything? Im just explaining that whether you go for Intel or amd, you need to tune things into the bios. You could argue the same thing about his post but you didn't. My intel cpu doesn't run too warm and my mobo out of the box settings are perfect, so why is he...

Question Stability issues with Intel 13/14th gen CPU ?

What he is saying is subjective. I can claim my pentium 4 pc is super fast. Doesn't make it true. Objectively gaming performance takes a huge hit without XMP. He might be fine with the performance he is getting, but most people wouldn't, that's why people enable xmp, undervolt, overclock...

If your pc is bone stock without xmp on top of that then your pc is just mega slow, lol.

Although 80c in gaming is kinda a lot, it's not a problem whatsoever so...who cares?

Obviously. And it was done on purpose. I just find it very interesting that whenever someone does that with AMD they get called out, but nobody gets called out when doing that with Intel. This is something that psychology has to study, it's really not normal my man.
