Discussion EKWB's future ?

Will EKWB be able to get out of the hole they have dug themselves into ?

Yeah, read that earlier. It's not looking good. They seem to be ruined financially and are hoping that someone buys the company, or gives major investment.

With so much stock sitting on hand, it's not a good place to be. Specially when the stock isn't going out the door, daily, weekly or more.

They do such cool stuff. Will be a shame if they can't pull through it.

Their business decisions of inaction on paying their employees is a huge eye opener for me.

Until I hear the employees Are taken care of I will be looking at other companies for my watercooling components.

Maybe they should go to order lead time for certain items to be made upon customer orders vs simply mass producing products in hopes of sales.

I waited about 7 weeks for my Optimus Foundation Wb for my 5900x and was fine with the wait and paid $129 Usd while a Ek wb was well over that price.
They might be selling more if their prices wasn't soo high.
That Optimus is now in my son's rig on a 5900x with the only thing from Ek is the pump unfortunately because none of the companies are doing anything for the Rtx 4070 series.

My system now has the Heatkiller Pro ($99.00 usd) on the 5900x with a Ek vector wb on the rtx 2080 ti that I bought used together ran by a Ek pump.
I hope the pumps(both systems) last as well as my 2080 ti till they work on their conpany restructuring and pay all employees what they are Due then I wil consider their products again But not UNTIL!!!!! IF EVER!!!!!

Don't want to sound political but....
Owners are from Slovenia which is in Balkan and was part of former socialist/communist country Yugoslavia. After communists were deposed and "Free market" introduced, those who could (mostly those in power) used exactly same tactics by buying off state owned factories which they intentionally ruined to bankruptcy. Old habits die hard.

Slovenia is considerably further away from what you describe than their former Yugoslavia pals. It's closer to an Alpine country like Austria or Switzerland than a Balkan gangster state. Though some political leaders would turn it into one given half a chance.

Anyway, corruption would plague state owned industires and businesses but a small water cooling pioneer is not part of the old world.

The problem is twofold:
- overclocking is dead
- air cooling is simpler, cheaper, less prone to failure and can match liquid cooling

EKWB offered top of the line products for massive prices. Their market was always small and now they can no longer maintain a large profit margin. They have bit the dust already. Unless they can transition to a mainstream manufacturer which i don't think they will.
They won't match the competitors in that segment anyway.

It was a good business while it lasted but unless throngs of people suddenly demand luxury custom loops...
nah
