Dvi d to hdmi help please

Hello I'm getting 2 monitors both 1440p 60hz and my graphics card is an r9 390 for the first monitor I'm just using a hdmi cord and for the second monitor I'm using a dvi d dual link with a hdmi cord would this work with a 1440p 60hz btw I don't have a display port on the monitor so that's out of the question

most monitors if not all of them wont do 1440p through hdmi unless they have HDMI 2.0. since your gpu doesnt, you should run through dvi. if your gpu doesnt have 2 x dvi ports, alternatively you can use a displayport to dvi active adapter for the second monitor.
