Question Help! With my MSI monitor, it has a strange issue

Hello so I recently bought an MSI MP223 i wanted a cheap second display but it refuses to take input from my mac or Windows Laptop, meanwhile when I used my USB dongle and connected my phone and tablet it got the input instantly (I am using HDMI cable) the HDMI Port doesn't seem Faultier as it works with phone and I also tried a know working hdmi cable no luck

Laptops you generally have to configure for multiple displays.

Does it show up in device manager?

If it does, you probably just need to open up display settings and tell the system if you want to extend or duplicate the display.

Nope doesn't show up, when I xonnexted my mac to the TV it instantly detected it but not the monitor
