How To Fix Unexpected Store Exception Error In Windows 10

Microsoft recently updated Windows 10 and this came with enhanced aesthetics and additional features. However, it brought about some errors and exceptions such as the unexpected store exception. The annoying thing about this error is that you have to restart your computer every time it pops up. Here is how to fix this problem.

About Unexpected Store Exception

The unexpected store exception comes with the blue screen of death (BSOD). Many times, this error occurs as a result of a certain anti-virus program. To establish whether the antivirus is responsible for the error; peruse through your bug details and check the raw stack. This has traces that the operating system produces.

You will find the errors in correspondence with the drivers used by your malware or antivirus protection programs. There are various ways of fixing this error and we have some of them detailed in here.

1. Fix Corrupt System Files

You can do this by downloading Reimage Plus. Once the download is complete, run and let it scan and recover both missing and corrupt files. Ensure that all the system files are in place and uncorrupted before proceeding with the instructions below.

2. Remove The Antivirus Program From The System

Windows 10 comes with a Microsoft Defender. This serves as the default virus protection program. Therefore, removing your anti-virus will not expose our computer to harm. To install;

Click on the Windows key + X. This will launch the pop-up menu just before the start button is displayed. Choose Control Panel from the list and check out for Programs. Click this option to reveal the programs installed on your personal computer. Proceed to anti-virus software, right click and click on Uninstall.

Confirm if you want to go ahead with the uninstallation by clicking yes. Follow the subsequent steps to complete the uninstallation. If you have installed more than one version of protection programs, you need to uninstall them all. Restart your computer to effect these changes.

Following these steps to the letter minimizes the chances of recurrence. If this does not solve the problem, then you can try the following method.

Inspect Your Drivers For Any Faults

These instructions will work better for you if you are using a Lenovo computer.

1. Disable Automated Driver Installation

On the start menu, type gpedit.msc. Click to expand Computer Configuration located on the left on the left hand side of the pane. Open Administrative Templates, and click on System. Now click Device Installation. Look out for Prevent installation of devices not described by other policy settings located on the right side of the window and double click. Choose Enabled then click Ok and restart your computer.

Press Windows key + X and choose Device manager. Proceed to Sound video and game controllers. Right click on IDT High Definition Audio or Conexant SmartAudio then click uninstall. Make sure that the Delete the driver software for the device box is ticked.

Reboot Your Computer

After rebooting your computer, download the Audio driver (Conexant) for 64 bit Windows- Lenovo G410, G510. Install the driver and restart your computer. These steps should eliminate the unexpected store exception error completely.
