I have a Legion 5 Ryzen 7 laptop with 2x8GB 3200 RAM. I purchased a Kingston Fury 2x16GB Kingston Fury 3200 RAM. However, my Legion 5 laptop won’t boot up; it only shows a black screen with the fan spinning. I tested sticking 1x16GB RAM, and the issue was the same.

Note: The NEW RAM I purchased is working properly since even my 10-year-old i5 Acer laptop is able to boot up with it.

It's just pretty stupid that my older Acer laptop supports the new RAM without any issue compared to the newer Lenovo laptop.

Go here and run the scanner you might find that 8GB per slot is the max.

Memory
Max Memory
Up to 32GB DDR4-3200
Memory Slots
Two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots, dual-channel capable
Memory Type
DDR4-3200

And the RAM I purchased are Kingston Fury 2x16GB 3200 RAM DDR4. So I don't see any compatibility issue here that will prevent my Lenovo laptop from booting up.
