I just ordered Ryzen 9 7900x3d for 360$ , it was cheaper than 7800X3d so i thought it was a good deal. But now i am reading online that that 7900x3d isn't as good as 7800x3d as far as gaming is concerned.

Is Ryzen9 for 360$ a bad deal ? Should i buy 7800x3d for 370$

Edit:
I am using i5 7600k at the moment

Hey there,

No, I'd keep it. Although ever so slightly slower than the 7800x3d (in gaimng only), you are getting many more cores and threads, for a much better MC score.

The difference between the 7800x3d and 7900x3d is often very little. Some wins for the 7800x3d, some for the 7900x3d. In some scenarios though, the 7800x3d can be about 5-10% faster. However, in game, this only translates to a few FPS. If you absolutely have to have those extra 5-10 fps, then the 7800x3d is the choice. IMO, you're good to go.

I would keep it, actually though what motherboard and ram are you pairing with that processor?
Not decided yet, but i was told (here on tomshardware) to get at least 6000 M/Ts (Mhz?) RAM and as for Motherboard I'll get B650 Elite.

The RAM will either be Corsair or G-Skill Trident Neo (EXPO), is 32GB enough ?
