How to Download and Use Themes In Windows 10

Unless you’re too picky about the colors of the icons and tiles and the wallpaper of your desktop screen, you’d probably prefer using the pre-built themes that not only change the desktop wallpaper, but also modify the overall ambiance of your Windows 10 computer.
Although a few themes are already available in the “Settings > Personalization > Themes” window, more can be downloaded from Microsoft Store that, depending on their type, can be free or paid.
However, you must be sign-in with your Microsoft account in order to download themes or any other app from Microsoft Store. If you are not already signed-in, you’ll be prompted to provide your Microsoft account’s credentials before downloading anything.
Downloading and using themes in Windows 10 is simple. Here’s how:
    Get to the Themes window
Right-click anywhere on the desktop screen, click Personalization, and click Themes from the left pane. This takes you to the Themes interface. From here you can choose a different theme to apply, customize and save custom themes, etc.

    Find new themes
Click Get more themes in Microsoft Store under the Apply a theme section (as an alternative, you can also click Get more themes under the Get more personality in Windows section). This launches the Microsoft Store app, and opens the Windows Themes page. Here you can find both free and paid themes to download and use on your Windows 10 PC.

    Download a theme
Click the icon of the theme you’re interested in (Macro Flowers for this example), and click Get on the theme’s window that opens up next. This downloads the theme on your computer. Depending on the size of the theme and your Internet connection speed, the download time may vary.

    Use the new theme

Click Launch after the download completes, and click the new theme (Macro Flowers for this example) back on the Themes window. This instantaneously replaces the current theme with the new one. After changing, you can close the Themes window to get back to the desktop screen. You can even click the Start button and check that the Start menu ambiance has been modified as well.
