How To Join a Friend’s Game in Overwatch
Overwatch is best played with friends, and here's how you can join people on your friends list in their games!
Step 1)Go to your social panel in game.
This can be opened by pressing 'o' as the default key, or you can open it from the main menu as well just by clicking on the 'social' option.
Step 2)Invite them to your party, or request to join their existing party.
There is an option in this menu to join their current game if they are in one, but if you select this you will simply be observing their game, rather than playing in it. This can be good to watch for when they are near the end of the match so you can invite them to your group. If they are already in a group with others, you can request to join the group here as well.
Step 3)Play away!
That's really it, once you are in a group together you just go ahead and play the game as normal, and you will always be in a team with your group. Have fun!
