If your Windows 10 computer has Bluetooth, it’s simple to pair and use it with any other Bluetooth device. To get this done, all you need to do is, enable Bluetooth on the device you want to connect your PC to, and ensure that the device is discoverable.
Once done, here’s how you can connect the device to Windows 10 via Bluetooth:
- ■Enable Bluetooth on Windows 10
Go to Start > Settings > Device, and turn on the Bluetooth switch on the Bluetooth & other devices window. This enables Bluetooth on your Windows 10 computer. Although Bluetooth is turned on in Windows 10 by default, if it isn’t make sure to enable it manually before proceeding.
■Pair your device
Click Add Bluetooth or other device, click Bluetooth on the Add a device window, select your Bluetooth device that your computer discovers (Samsung S9 for this example), click Connect, and click OK on your Bluetooth device. This pairs both the devices. Once paired, you can make your device non-discoverable again to maintain its privacy and security.
■Click Done to close the box
■Use Bluetooth
Right-click the Bluetooth icon from the Notification Area at the bottom-right corner of your Windows 10 PC, click Send a File or Receive a File, and follow the on-screen instructions from there. This allows file/data transfers between your Windows 10 computer and the paired Bluetooth device.
Note: Depending on the type of device you paired, you may get different options in the context menu.
