1st of all i am not well in English so accept any grammar or spelling mistakes !!!
This method Work for not only Bootmgr errors also work for " config.sys missing or compressed " " autoexec.bat missing or compressed " etc.....

To quickly fix these without data loss and clean install os follow these steps .
( its not work for dead hdd or ssd )
you need
1:- any bootable cd or dvd Example in Linux :-( Ubuntu ,Mandriva , Linux mint , etc... )
or something like windows Example :- ( Hiren boot cd etc... )
2 :- bootmgr file from working another system ( Same os and version )

Thats it ...

The Bootmgr file is Hidden so how to see the files
1 :- Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.

Click the View tab.

Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then click OK.

Now u see the Bootmgr in these Location ( Windows xp :- C:\ ) ( Windows 7 :- C:\Windows\Boot\PCAT ) File size is smaller then 1MB then copy file to any cd, dvd , pendrive etc...
same method for Vista and 8 .
