Gil is one of the only other members of the Adventurer’s Guild along with Marlon. He can be found sitting in the corner of the building when you go inside the Adventure’s Guild. He is also one of the oldest members of the Adventurer’s Guild, in fact it is hinted at in the game that he is financing the war against all the monsters in the cave. Another fact about Gil is that you cannot be friends with him. You cannot give him any gifts and cannot increase your relationship level with him in any way.
Gil’s Schedule:
Gil lives in the Adventurer’s Guild and is never seen leaving the building.
He is there when the Guild opens at 2 pm and is there till it closes. He never attends any festivals or any other event the townsfolk take part in. He can always be found sitting next to the fireplace and is always seen with Marlon. He is never seen in the game without Marlon.
Gil’s Rewards:
Even though you cannot give Gil any gifts that does not mean that he cannot help you. He offers you rewards in exchange for fulfilling Monster Eradication Contracts. The rewards are as follows:
- Slime Charmer Ring which protects you from Slimes. (Obtainable by killing 1000 Slimes)
- Vampire Ring which grants you health for every monster that you kill. (Rewarded for killing 200 Bats)
- Insect Head. (Kill 125 insects)
- Savage Ring which boosts your speed. (Kill 150 Shadow Brutes or Shadow Shamans)
- Burglar’s Ring which increases the chance for a monster to drop its special loot. (Kill 500 Dust Sprites)
- Hard Hat. (Kill 30 Duggies)
- Skeleton Mask. (Kill 50 Skeletons)
You should keep in mind however that all these rewards can be lost if your inventory is full at the time you speak to Gil about the rewards but do not worry as you can buy all this stuff from Marlon as it all gets unlocked for purchase after you complete these contracts.
Gil’s Quests:
Gil does not give you any fixed quests but it is rumored in the game that he is the one that tells Marlon to help you as he somehow knew your Grandfather and therefore is responsible for all the quests involving the mines. His Eradication Contracts also count as sub-quests as you get a reward after you complete them.

His contracts ARE miss able as it is possible to complete the game without ever once completing his Contracts so definitely keep an eye out for him as his contracts can provide you with a lot of benefits as you kill monsters. The Slime Ring is especially useful because if you make a Slime Hutch, your slimes will still attack you but not if you wear this ring.
