This is my first pc build. I read that I may need to update the bios on the Asus X99 Deluxe II motherboard to work with the Broadwell-E i7 6950x CPU. Can I install and try the 6950x first without knowing the bios version or will it damage the CPU if it is not updated prior to plugging in the CPU?
