    [SOLVED] Macrium Reflect imaging troubles

I use MR Free with great success. But as mentioned above, what I'm trying to do only works (AFAICT) with the paid version, which I'm not too keen on paying for at list price.

    [SOLVED] Macrium Reflect imaging troubles

Marking "Solved", though I'm not actually going through with the solution. Appreciate the input.

[SOLVED] CM Hyper TX3 evo still holds temperatures in 2021 ?

Try it. You've got nothing to lose. If it can't keep up, then grab a new cooler.

    [SOLVED] Macrium Reflect imaging troubles

Yeah, but I might do it anyway. A little research suggests that Redeploy to Different Hardware in MR is a paid-only feature. :-\

    [SOLVED] Macrium Reflect imaging troubles

Didn't see that option, but may not have looked hard enough. If nothing else, I can do another trial of the full version. I'm not necessarily dead-set on using MR for this, and am willing to try other migration methods.

    [SOLVED] Macrium Reflect imaging troubles

I've got a W10 installation striped across two 120GB SSDs that I'm trying to image onto an SM961 using MR. The image creates and restores without errors, but Windows bluescreens on boot, complaining about missing \system32\drivers\spaceport.sys. I tried creating a new image after making sure...

Review Thermaltake The Tower 100 Review: Affordable ITX Weirdness

The design says "popcorn machine" to me more than "fish tank". I almost want to buy it simply to reward a manufacturer for releasing a new design with a disk activity LED. Shame about the PLED, though.

[SOLVED] Hard disk sounds like when I turn the PC Off and On Randomly

New noises on a hard drive generally mean it's starting to fail. Nothing's guaranteeing it will; there's the potential for it to run for years yet. But I wouldn't bet on it. If you don't replace, at least make sure you're backing up your important data. You can also check S.M.A.R.T. data...

    [SOLVED] 1440p@144Hz vs 1080p@240Hz

Add my vote for 1440p. Pixel density at that resolution on a 27" is higher than 1080p on a 24" As far as 1080p content being blurry, that's a risk, but any of that would hypothetically be in motion and thus less noticeable than static imagery on desktop. Any modern display adapter can push...

Discussion What was your first gpu

I loved the Permedia 2, if only because the Linux drivers were so good at a time when so many weren't. My first was a Diamond Monster Fusion (3DFX Voodoo Banshee)

News Sony Took a Loss on Each of the 4.5 Million PS5s it Sold in 2020

The projections (correct or not) were made and contracts written. Sony has an obligation to supply units to distributors at the agreed cost. What happens after that is basically out of their hands. I don't know the duration or structure of those contracts, so maybe at some point they get...

News Sony Took a Loss on Each of the 4.5 Million PS5s it Sold in 2020

That's a situation that'll resolve itself. If and when people stop paying the inflated prices, the price will drop. A stack of unsold PS5s does a seller, scalper or otherwise, no good. In any case, a quick look at eBay's Sold listings in the US has a PS5 selling at the rate of about one every...

News Sony Took a Loss on Each of the 4.5 Million PS5s it Sold in 2020

Scalpers aren't likely hoarding anything; that doesn't make them money unless they correctly bet that average selling price will rise appreciably over current levels. Oversimplified, it's like somebody getting the last unit in a physical line at a store, then turning around to the remaining...

Question No POST with 2 RAM Modules, 1 RAM Module Memtest error

I've never heard of a processor causing damage to a motherboard, but I'm by no means an expert, and anything's possible as they say. I don't see any bent pins in your pic, either, though it looks like there may be a couple bits of crud in there. Don't know what to say about the discoloration...
