Not being a wiseguy, but you did remove the plastic protector film off the bottom? My i5 with that cooler idles around 30c. Because of the spaces between the tubes, many "butter" the bottom to fill the spaces, then remove the excess, and then very thin line on each pipe. VERY thin, you just want...
I too have an i5 750 on a ASUS P7P55D and in researching Ram, I too decided on 1600MHz ram for overclocking headroom. Here is my Ram:

More a curiosity, but I have this ram, and can physically confirm I have the right 1600MHz ram.
KINGSTON 4GB (2 x 2GB) HyperX PC3-12800 DDR3 1600MHz CL8 (8-8-8) 1.65V SDRAM DIMM, Non-ECC
Everest, CPUZ, even Memtest shows it as PC3-10600, or PC3-10700. I have it running at 1600MHz now, and ran...
Thanks for anwering Saint, your answer is best by default, lol. I set BCLK to 160, set Ram to 1600MHz, 8-8-8-24. Ran Prime 95 4 hours, and memtest 6 hours after that. Looks like I'm good to go. Now to google why everything recognizes my Ram as PC3-10600, even memtest... Thanks again, A Guy
