More a curiosity, but I have this ram, and can physically confirm I have the right 1600MHz ram.

KINGSTON 4GB (2 x 2GB) HyperX PC3-12800 DDR3 1600MHz CL8 (8-8-8) 1.65V SDRAM DIMM, Non-ECC

Everest, CPUZ, even Memtest shows it as PC3-10600, or PC3-10700. I have it running at 1600MHz now, and ran Memtest for 6 hours today, and all is well. Sandra Lite shows the ram correctly.

Could it be that it is actually 1333MHz ram meant to be overclocked to 1600MHz? As I say, not losing any sleep over it, but it's a puzzler. A Guy

Solution
The short answer is yes. It is 1333MHz RAM capable of OCing to 1600MHz w/voltage and latency adjustments through the BIOS. Without the BIOS adjustments, it will be identified in the BIOS as 1333MHz RAM.
