Yes it is working properly. Overheating is normal for this adapter. I asked many people on youtube they are facing the same issue but adapter works perfectly.

So ok 100 Mbps port is giving me 80mbps speed but what about another laptop that is also sending data directly through laptop’s wifi, even if it is sending data at let say @100mbps why max speed is always stuck at 80Mbps. Won’t it be sum of both stream wired plus wireless.

I just wanted to test for curiosity, because when i connected one laptop using lan cable and one with wifi and shared file using superbeam on my desktop connected via ac1900 adapter. I am only getting max 80mbps speed.

So today received the replacement for adapter( in less than 24 hr thanks to amazon). The new adapter heats same as the last one. I think it is normal for this adapter. I also tried the usb 2.0 heat output was same.

Tested the adapter on my laptop , on desktop with different usb cable and direct on usb port. Problem it remains hot even when not in use once it get heated up. Some people on youtube are saying this adapter remains hot every time still I’ve requested replacement will test the new one tomorrow...

It is in cooler condition(ambient condition) because i am using the usb extension that came with it. Still high temps.
