In my wall of text I did write "I even tried to disconnect all USB devices" (read USB mouse, keyboard and wireless USB) :-)

I have disabled both wireless and ethernet adapter but to no avail. Booted "Diagnostic Start" from MSCONFIG to load basic drivers and services and that did not help as well.

Is there no value attached to the error message? Only DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE?
