Ah, so basically if the R/W of gen 4 generally is around 7k/5k even if I use that gen 4 ssd, on my mobo it will be throttled to gen 3 speed? (3k mb-ish) Will that tear down the ssd quicker or no tho? Thinking to just still buy the gen 4 just in case if I upgrade my mobo later on in the future...

Yes, but sadly some games aren't capable of doing that. And the game I currently played can't do that, so I was wondering if there's really no way to solve this other than changing my desktop resolution to 1080p before I play the game if i wanted to play it.
