All fixed now, thanks for the help! ended up changing the registry when the error came up with shift F10: HKLocal machine/SYSTEM/SETUP/STATUS/ChildCompletion, and after highliting childcompletion that was my problem. changed value and it finished installing and it runs fine now. Thanks!

Memtest was fine with no errors, 3 different mem sticks tried. Still the same error. Could my hardware or bios settings be causing this?

I'm trying with a 3rd memory stick just in case. If it helps - I used GPT in rufus, windows created 4 partition, I installed on the largest partition.
