    You also have to remember that Rust isn't very well optimized and even with a beast build you'll still struggle to pull 60 fps. I would try some other games and see if it's a common theme

    It sounds like your graphics card is getting some artifacts and dying. I would check and see if you still have a warranty for the card.

    Another Failed Delidding Attempt on an i5 4670k

    I would try another CPU in your machine first and see if you still have the same issues. In the future I would recommend not delidding as you only get a few degrees cooler in terms of cooling. Not worth risking your CPU.

    Looking to replace my really old HD 7770 with a $150 budget.

    The GTX 1050 TI can't run all games at 1080p at ultra. With some tweaking though you can run most games medium-high. The GTX 970 for $180 is a great deal and a great card for 1080p gaming. The GTX 780 is pretty close to 970 in terms of performance but I would go with a 970 for $180.
