So today I picked up the new COD game on my PC. I was about to play but noticed Windows had an update to install so I let it do its thing. After about 30 min or so I came back and tried hopping on COD and noticed a stutter ingame. Every 1-2 seconds there is about a half second stutter rendering...
You also have to remember that Rust isn't very well optimized and even with a beast build you'll still struggle to pull 60 fps. I would try some other games and see if it's a common theme
First check and see if your Gateway machine has a PC Express x16 2.0 slot. If so I would recommend the nVidia GTX 750 TI. You can find one for $99.99 on Newegg.com https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127784&cm_re=gtx_750_ti-_-14-127-784-_-Product
I would try another CPU in your machine first and see if you still have the same issues. In the future I would recommend not delidding as you only get a few degrees cooler in terms of cooling. Not worth risking your CPU.
The GTX 1050 TI can't run all games at 1080p at ultra. With some tweaking though you can run most games medium-high. The GTX 970 for $180 is a great deal and a great card for 1080p gaming. The GTX 780 is pretty close to 970 in terms of performance but I would go with a 970 for $180.
I recently built a new computer with an ASUS Prime Z270a and the RGB is cool and all but how do I stop it from lighting up when my computer is turned off?
