Hey guys, had a little issue with my 970 for a few months now, after my PC has been on for a day or so (not really one to turn it off much) the power limit caps itself for some reason. Gpu-z tells me the performance is being limited but 'Pwr' (power limit) but I don't understand why this is...

you'd have to turn the resolution and setting right down, even then it might not be playable. I don't think it'd be worth the price of the game.

Yeah I agree, 970. Make sure to get the SSC or FTW+ though as they have an improved cooler compared to the older ones.

If you're not interested in OCing, I'd get the cheapest 1150 i5 you can find. If you are, go for the i5 4690K :)

At 1080p, yes that build will do you well. You never know how much of an OC you'll be able to get out of the chip you get until you try it out. I'd recommend an Intel CPU though, much better for gaming right now. Which Corsair PSU btw? I wouldn't go anything but HXi or AXi.

In my opinion, EVGA ACX2 SSC or FTW+.

^ Most people don't care that they misstated some specs. It still performs just as well, there isn't any good AMD alternative right now.

the fan curve won't affect performance. i'd leave it at stock, it'll give you reasonable temps and low noise levels. there isn't much point using a curve unless you want to keep the GPU cooler than about 70-75C.

That's really disappointing, next time maybe don't go with Dell! The new ASUS 4K monitors look very nice.

Better power consumption, more efficient design, better thermals and it's cheap. That comment makes no sense. I think the EVGA 970 SSC and FTW+ are the way to go right now for a 970.

Hey :) how do you know you're 'almost bottlenecking the thing'? Crossfire won't help.
