    [SOLVED] Over clocking the 6600K

Ok, did some testing: Right now the best I can achieve is 4500 mhz with 45 multiplier and 1375 voltage. I tried to up the voltage to 1400 and the multiplier to 46 but I get system crashes. Is this the best I can achieve?

    [SOLVED] Over clocking the 6600K

Hi guys, I got an old i5 6600K, stock 3.6 ghz, coupled with a ASUS Z170-A motherboard and a very good aftermarket Noctua Tower Cooler. I want to squeeze something more from this aging CPU and I read overclocking guides, however I have some trouble with my motherboard settings. Basically I...

    Question Is Gsync working?

Anyway, I got another weird issue: The monitor is connected to a multiple power switch along with printer, lamp, speakers and a land-line cordless phone. I usually turn the power off for the night to save power. When I turn it back on in the morning the monitor powers up by itself and goes in...

    Question Is Gsync working?

Thanks for your help Eximo. Apparently the issue was that windows had kept the 60 hz refresh rate. It was silly of me to think that everything would have been plug and play. Anyway, now I got proof tht g-sync kicks in, I can play older games at 144 fps withouth v-sync and it is butter smooth!

    Question Is Gsync working?

Hi, I just purchased a Acer Predator XB241h with g-sync. It was a "future oriented" purchase, as I have a very old videocard (GTX 660, supports g-sync) but I had hoped I could at least enjoy G-sync a bit. However it seems that enabling any game with G-sync WITHOUT V-sync only makes really makes...

    GTX 660 troubles

Ok, I did some testing. There's something weird going on... CPU usage, even under heavy stress (20 fps), is high, but well below the maximum...there would be still plenty of power to be put to use...and I am talking about the cores who get actually used by the game, not the "idle" ones. I even...

I even monitored the cpu usage with Intel Extreme Tuning Utility...it shows that even under the heaviest stress, it never goes beyond 52% cpu usage...
