my friend made a case for the harddisks to be in with fans and everything using a 3D printer.

because i have a mini itx small case and i want to make an plex media server? with a large storage and i want to use my many harddisk i have (not being used)

is there anyway to calculate how much the harddisk use? to find out what usb hub/power supply to by? will it be best to buy usb hub with power supply or the usb/sata with power supply?

Is it possible to buy usb to sata add them to a usb hub and use it? if you know what i mean? having more harddisk connected? i know you can have multiple usb stick connected to a usb hub. but does it work with 2.5 harddisk too?

i use a different cable when going to my friends house. Thats why it never happens there.

yes, the monitor is the same, but found just now that it was the DP cable making the interruption.

something new has come to light. I was told to tried 1-by-1 to connect my mouse, internet cable, dp cable, headset, external fan and keyboard to see if it interrupts the start-up and i tried it. It seems that my DP-cable does the interruption.... when i disconnect only my monitor and the rest is...

why should it be the wiring, last week i had a much more power pc connected to the same as this one? and everything else, like screens and readynas runs on the same extension cord.

update: i have 2 extension cord connected and i tryed the extension cord with no swtich i wouldn't even turn on, and i tried a wall outlet, and it still didn't want to ON. So the only thing that works is by using the second extension cord with the switch OFF for 5 sec and then i can turn it ON...

well, today i went to my friend i shared it with, and it worked just fine, havent tryed the wall outlet yet, but i still does the same when i am home again.
