Question usb cable small nick/cut to black cable covering

Paperdoc thanks so much for your quick reply you and Lutfij are awesome :) ... like Lutfij said I really should have provided a picture of the damage in question instead of panicking and immediately wrapping electrical tape around the damaged area. I'm hoping that it really is just white...

Question usb cable small nick/cut to black cable covering

Thank you for your quick reply I appreciate it :) .. of course since I am an idiot I panicked and promptly wrapped the damaged parts up in electrical tape then afterwards thought to myself " You know it would have really helped to take a picture of it beforehand." So yes I would be the first...

Question usb cable small nick/cut to black cable covering

Hi guys me again with another dumb question, my apologies in advance and particularly if I've posted this in the wrong part of the forums (I wasn't sure where questions on usb 2.0 cables would go). Thank you so much for your reply Cellie :) .. man that would be fantastic if it was just sticky cosating starting to melt (long as it's not dangerous to go on using the laptop and just annoying sticky ) I'm guessing that means I can go on safely using the laptop if that's the case :) .. No...

Question Dangerous to use "leaking fluid from laptop screen" laptop until it dies?

thank you both for your quick replies :) .. hopefully it's not fluid leaking from the battery ! To determine if it's battery fluid leakage would getting the bottom off the laptop to expose the "guts" inside and examining the battery help as far as figuring it out?

Question Dangerous to use "leaking fluid from laptop screen" laptop until it dies?

I found a clear fluid on the laptop screen after not using it for about a week which I thought was just water then I noticed a sticky residue on the bottom/keyboard part of the laptop...
