ASUS Z97 Pro Wifi Internet Issue

It's been a long time since I've posted on this issue... two possible issues are the USB 3.0 ports which are too close to the WiFi antenna and the issue of smaller antennas/lower location of the antennas vs the other wireless devices. On the USB 3.0 ports, you can try disabling the rear USB...

    Merge Partition With Second Drive

If I remember correctly you can't make a spanned disk out of the boot drive in windows... although I might be wrong on that count (I have confirmed this one, you can't do it through Windows). Regardless Windows won't let you edit the boot drive so you would have to do any kind of editing for...

Can i make 2 different SanDisk SSD's with different capacities appear as one drive, with no drawbacks?

You can use "spanned volumes" when doing the initial formatting to make them all look like one big drive. However there is no speed advantages and if one drive goes down then you will lose whatever data that is on that drive (the other drive should still be usable at that point, as is...

are the upcoming AMD carrizo mobile APUs a good choice for a $700-$800 laptop?

Yes the SSD is recommended but the 7200 works fine for a budget build.

Youtube videos freezes for a second

You can try connecting with an Ethernet cable and making sure that it's not related to your wireless connection in any way (remember to disable the wifi for the test run). Also consider loading your OS in safe mode to check if it's a program that's interfering, since chrome has flash built-in...

are the upcoming AMD carrizo mobile APUs a good choice for a $700-$800 laptop?

You're going to need a little more GPU power for 1080p than for 720p. Regardless I would avoid the 5400 laptops, using a drive that slow tends to be asking for trouble. Yes there are some good 5400 drives that aren't too slow but no one uses them.... so it's best to just go for the 7200.

    Samsung Boot/BCD Error

Also I really doubt that this issue is caused by bad firmware in your case unless you found several people who have confirmed it as a firmware issue when using your model hdd (it would need to be the same batch too).

    Samsung Boot/BCD Error

Yeah it could be caused by bad firmware, but to fix it you will still need to do the normal repairs for a corrupted boot record or re-install. I would recommend doing a full scan of the hdd for errors and if it seems okay then proceeding with the necessary repairs or this might be a good time...

Youtube videos freezes for a second

I haven't experienced that before but it might be worth it to turn off the "use hardware acceleration when available" option on your browsers. Normally when something starts acting up in the browsers that I work with, if it's not the plugin or the browser itself then it's solved by turning...

Dropping Download Speed from my Wireless Router

I would just go ahead and upgrade, it is likely you have a broken antenna but it's probably not worth trying to fix over getting a new router.

SSD, crucial or samsung 250 GB?

It's a different nand process/design and I believe it has an updated controller/firmware as well. I wouldn't worry about it too much other that the 850 evo should be better than the 840 evo. There's also a sizable warranty difference if that matters to you. Both are fast enough unless you run...

    Samsung Boot/BCD Error

Why are you trying to update your BIOS? It sounds like you have a corrupted boot record (caused by various random issues) or/and a failing HDD.

Drive partition must be mounted on system restart

It sounds like your MBR either got corrupted or overwritten somehow. It should of been repairable with the right tools and know-how but I think we're past that point. Make sure you do a full disk check before you re-install Windows.
