Question can i run GTX 1070 8GB on my 500W FSP SP500-A PSU?

With 34 amps on the +12 volt you only have 400 watts to work with, not 500. The best recommendation may be to upgrade the power supply first to a newer more powerful model and add a new GPU later.

[SOLVED] Second hand PSU with no cables..

Considering the cost of a 3080, pairing it to a used, lower quality PSU is too poor an option to even consider. Corsair RM850x (2018)

[SOLVED] Can't get MSI Pro Z690-A WIFI and 12600kf to post

That PSU is about 15 year old design and does not have the proper connectors for an RX580 as far as I know. Are you using adapters on it? The PSU may or may not be the cause of your problem but you need to replace that ancient thing regardless. It only managed 400 watts on the +12 volt when it...

[SOLVED] Upgrading HP Pavilion Gaming 690-0013w

Keep using it and save for a new system. Avoid buying parts periodically to build later on. This almost never works out in your favor. Buy everything at the same time if possible. A new part you buy and hold for several months could fail out of the box and you may be past the option to return it...

    [SOLVED] Good PSU?

Yes, it's a good deal @ current price of $38.90 USD. Whether or not it's a good fit for your system depends on what you're connecting to it.

    [SOLVED] Will This Work?

Personally, I think you'd be better off getting a 3060 ti and a new monitor instead of a 3070 ti or 3080. Depends on what you can afford. Just an idea. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HCJ9W4

[SOLVED] Computer noob here, I have a 3397 motherboard from HP and I'm wondering if the GT 1030 is compatible?

The 8200 SFF has an x16 PCIe slot so you should be ok. Power draw for a 1030 is minimal. You'll need a low profile card to fit in that tiny chassis. It needs to have a short mounting plate also and you want a DDR5 memory version if you can find one. If your monitor is also really old it may only...

[SOLVED] new PC, review my build :D

Looks really good. Couple things- Unless you have a specific need for 64 GB ram, 32GB will already be more than enough. Be sure to check if bios update is needed to support the CPU. Here's a link to MSI support. MSI also has a support page for help flashing the bios if you need it. If only...

[SOLVED] Upgrading HP Pavilion Gaming 690-0013w

Proprietary system. I don't see upgrading it as a worthwhile option, even for the few parts that could be upgraded. The only salvageable parts are the Crucial SSD and maybe the GPU which could be allocated to a new system. The ram is most likely slow and not worth using in a new system, but I...

Question Is the Cooler Master G700 80+ Gold reliable? It's unusually good for it's price (here atleast)

Get the Corsair. The Gigabyte P750GM is one of those exploding models. They supposedly fixed the issue but I would not trust it personally.

    Question Psu bsod

OMG! Is this your PSU? Bosston 700W EK588 It only has 9 amps on +12 volt making it effectively a 100 watt PSU. Replace that thing right away with a brand name 450-550 watt model from Corsair or Seasonic. Whether or not it fixes your bsod issue doesn't matter. You need to replace that PSU.
