Question Has Nvidia responded to the RTX 4090 fire hazard?

Well it's nt actually the 4090 itself that's the hazard, just the included shoddy cable foor it, granted this could of been totally avoided if Nvidia hadn't used the crappy 12pin port and instead used 3 8 pins but the 4090 card itself is fine, and it's perfectly safe when paired with a proper cable.

Question Looking to upgrade to RTX 4080/4090

As far as I know, as long as it's a modern motherboard it's compatible with any modern GPU. I highly recommend you wait for the 7900 XTX performance stats, it looks way better value for money than the 4080 or 4090.

Question Upgraded gpu, get lag spikes now

DDU is a program that effectively completely destroys all trace of any graphical drivers. It's useful to remove your graphics drivers every time you upgrade your GPU to clear up any issues. I recommend you run a network bandwidth test and the network troubleshooter. It seems highly unlikely...

Question Upgraded gpu, get lag spikes now

Sounds like a network issue more than a Graphics card issue. Have you tried using ethernet or resetting the network settings etc? I would recommend DDU'ing all your graphics drivers and reinstalling them all due to your GPU change

Question Looking to upgrade to RTX 4080/4090

I wouldn't even think about a 4090, a 4080 maybe but pairing a 4090 with a 750w PSU and a 5700G is just a no go. Getting a CPU instead of an APU would help but you can avoid it. I would most likely go towards a 6800XT or 3070ti/3080 with that config instead, much better value for money if you...

[SOLVED] New build, bad 1% lows

I ran a command called "Windows Power Tools" to get rid of excess services and processes and it seems to have significantly sped up Windows and improved my 1% lows. Very happy!

[SOLVED] New build, bad 1% lows

So I did a "fresh" install today (I reinstalled windows and kept apps and files) and it seems to have helped quite a bit. Battlefield 5 was much better and other games seem to be alright now, some games seem to just be a little unstable by nature judging by others performance, but yeah, thanks...

[SOLVED] New build, bad 1% lows

Oh yeah no I totally get my situation with drives etc is not good, I don't store extremely important information on any of my drives but I should still make a back up at some point. [SOLVED] New build, bad 1% lows

Upgraded just the other day, from an old B450 and 3600 build. Same RAM and GPU. Like I said above, unfortunately can't viably reinstall windows because of how much data I have saved on my drives (I have 5 aha). However, I am planning on getting a Gen 4 NVME SSD at some point, so when I do, I...

No I haven't, but can't really do that unfortunately. I have way too much data that can't be lost and no backup external drive.

[SOLVED] New build, bad 1% lows

Hi there, So I recently upgraded my PC quite a bit. Current system specs are: Ryzen 7 5800X3D (Good temps) MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus Corsair LPX 32GB(2x16GB in slots 2+4) CL18 3600 (XMP on) MSI MECH 2X RX 6700 XT (undervolted by -50mhv to stabilise temps, happens regardless however) Silent Loop...

    [SOLVED] Fan orientation question

So I changed the fan orientation to fans in front of the rad, with them pushing air from the front through the rad. Got a 10C difference! Definitely worth doing, thanks everyone!

    [SOLVED] Fan orientation question

Maybe it is, but I am not prepared to redo my system for the 3rd time ahahha, temps are nice and low with this set up (fans first, intaking through the front of the case and into the rad) and I have a positive pressure now.
