It started hanging again. This time i thought the problem was with the PSU so I changed it. Now the old HDD works with no noises. There's been no freeze in 3 days. Problem was with the PSU. Thanks for helping me out :D

Removing the old HDD worked for me and its been a day and i experienced no freezing. I will notify you guys if it happens once again. Thanks.
