I'm trying to stream games that are cpu intensive and was wondering if the nvidia gtx 1060 and i7 4790 are good enough components to run a solid stream?

I have the h97 anniversay mobo and was wondering if this cpu is compatible with this motherboard. I don't want to pay extra to get more hardware, but I want a new cpu. Would this be compatible and is it the best upgrade? I currently have the i5 4600

so when it comes to being compatible, am I looking for a cpu that fits the lga 1150 socket? would the 4790k be a better option? I'm looking for something significantly better than what i have now, unless you think the xeon fits that.
