I'm looking to get a i7 6700k as I want to stream, but I was informed i would need a new motherboard. I need help to upgrade any of these components to fit the new motherboard, as well as a new motherboard suggestion. I'm willing to drop enough money on the upgrade, but not buy the most high end of components. Please help :)

Solution
yes, 1150 socket. that xeon = i7-4770 without integrated graphics. dont bother with the k processor. the xeon is a much better value for you. you don't need to overclock or spend money on additional cooling.
You will need a MOBO with an LGA1151 socket - don't worry, that processor will costs 6x as much as the board, so comparatively it won't cost much. Check out https://pcpartpicker.com/ - it will let you build a system from scratch and select parts, and it will check compatibility.

I want to upgrade because streaming games like h1z1 is not working out so well. My game crashes often and it skips a lot. I go to task manager and the CPU is sitting at 100% so I'm assuming I need a better one, right? I'm not the most tech savvy person, so if you recommend something else I'm willing to try it.

so when it comes to being compatible, am I looking for a cpu that fits the lga 1150 socket? would the 4790k be a better option? I'm looking for something significantly better than what i have now, unless you think the xeon fits that.
